Passive Income

For most, the concept of making money equates to working for a living. People see the path to a decent standard of living as going to school to get a good education and working hard in their career for the rest of their lives. During the Industrial Age, when jobs were plentiful and workers received better wages, this made sense. Today, however, it’s a different story. In order to obtain financial freedom, a person has to learn to have their money work for them.

Here’s a secret: The rich don’t work hard for money. The rich make their money work hard for them. The rich play the game of money by a different set of rules. In other words, they have a totally different mindset when it comes to money. The rich focus on accumulating assets, which generate more money for them.

Think about having a job. Do you think it’s in the employer’s best interest to pay you enough to become financially free? No, it isn’t. Most likely, the employer pays you just enough to keep you coming back. Unfortunately, the majority of people will go with the flow and attempt to hang on for dear life for the rest of their lives.

Have you ever considered the term “human resource?” It makes me think of a piece of charcoal used in a barbecue. Like, once the charcoal has been consumed, it’s simply replaced by more. I know this sounds harsh, but consider the fact that workers’ wages have been steadily declining over the past few years while companies have amassed record profits. That seems like a barbecue to me.

The new game of money requires people to have their money work for them. A person may start out having a job, but the goal is to have the earned income reproduce itself through good investments. There are only so many hours in a day, and a person can work for only a portion of them. Thus, an individual has to get out of the mindset of only working for money! The objective is to learn what the rich do and have money work tirelessly around the clock, passively. It takes time and a little effort, but your financial freedom resides at the other side of it.

Entertain money.
